I mean, you’re all not wrong to be angry about this, but this shit is oooold news
How dare they sell a season pass that says exactly what's in it, but charge more money for content that was not promised in that season pass!
Seriously, FFXV has it's problems but that's the dumbest complaint I've heard in awhile.
And tbh, if you look at interviews before release, they said that there might be additional paid dlc that won't be included in the season pass.
I think people just don't like that it isn't something cosmetic but rather actual relevant additions to the game.
no u!
While some of you were bitching and crying yet again over a few dollars, this was posted today.
Can’t fucking wait for this and his DLC to drop. Ardyn is easily my favorite FF villain.
If the rest of the DLC had been completed and wasn't cut out from the legs when Tabata left, they had planned to do a season 2 of DLC, correct?
Did SE owe buyers of the first DLC season pass anything? No, but some good PR after your games director leaving (either resigning in frustration or being fired in disgrace) and the DLC being cancelled would have been to include Garuda as a free benefit to those who did buy the season pass or Episode Ardyn.
Watch Pocket Edition get Episode Ardyn for free now.
Do I have to pay for that one too?![]()
Yes. We get it. SE bad! Hurrdurr teh good ol days! $10!? No way that’s my Big Mac money! LOLincomplete game.
Anything else I missed?
No one is going to convince anyone of anything at this point. Some of you are just being fucking obnoxious as hell coming in here with the same damn autistic REEEEEE repeating yourselves over and over. Shit is almost as bad as the SFV thread.
Hey man, don't lump me in with Elcura.
I'm enjoying the game and picking and choosing the content I want to pay for. Royal Edition from what I can see is not worth $15 bucks and doesn't offer enough content to have been its own thing outside of the season pass. There's a difference between not finding that being worth my time/money and hurr durr game trash SE suxX0rz etc etc.
I will probably still end up getting Ardyn episode whether it's included or I have to pay for it because I want closure on this game with the final character episode.
Anything else? Let’s make sure you get it all off your chest this time before you repeat yourself again in 2-3 months.
Nah I'll be back in 2-3 months to remind you that FFXV is not worth your money just in case you forget.
I enjoy playing FFXV more than I do reading your posts. And if the game is as bad as you think, that should tell you something about how terrible you are.
Basically same here. The Royal Expansion content is not worth 15$ by itself.
Aside from Royal Expansion not being worth 15$, there is the fact that it was included in the PC version of the game, with the entire release being less than we early adopters paid to buy the base game on PS4 when it initially released, despite its unfinished state. Then, we bought the season pass on top of that - an extra 19.99$ (again, content that is included in the PC version). I know it's the money we paid to play the game earlier than PC users, and that's fine. But now, rather than including the Royal Edition content in the 80$ PS4 users already paid to play the game, they're asking for $15 more from us. This just says "yes, we expect our most loyal customers to keep paying more and more, instead of giving them service for being loyal". To me, that's slimy. And if this is the model SE is adopting for its games, then where does it stop? Do I have the same treatment to look forward to for FFXVI or FFVII remake if I play it on console instead of waiting for a PC release? It's a matter of principle, not just a matter of money, and it actively discourages their best consumers from supporting them because we know we're getting dicked.
I thought and still do think that it was a scumbag move to have existing owners of the game pay additional $$ to essentially fill in the gaps in the game's story while any late adopters not only got to pay less for the game and its primary DLC, but also got the Royal Edition content baked in. Early adopters effectively ended up paying double for the full experience. Now, normal DLC wasn't a problem. There's something to be said about how incomplete the story is without it, but whatever. Season pass is fine, future episodes will probably also be worth paying for. Royal Edition should have been a free upgrade for everyone, though, and it was very dirty of SE to have people pay $15 for it. I've seen games do far bigger additions as free version updates before (Divinity, the Witcher, etc.) which doesn't help.
Can argue that point all you want, won't change my mind. Enabling this kind of behavior, aka buying absolutely everything no questions asked just because it's a brand you like, is exactly what got us into the microtransaction hellscape that is modern day gaming.
