I think they were a little problematic when they first showed up but not that much. Anyway, you can easily run away from them as soon as you see/hear them coming, the dudes also usually warn you

They're tough at first like Gokulo said, but some leveling up should help. If you've reached Duscae (I forget when you get there) and unlock your own Chocobo, it helps a bunch. Can just outrun the imperials.
Also, don't feel obligated to fight every imperial that drops on you. You can just keep running and they'll despawn when you get far enough.
As for myself, I downloaded the Royal Pack but haven't touched it yet. I just finished off the Randolph quests in my original file and got Ulric's Kukris too. I haven't actually touched any of the episodes yet either so now that I have all that stuff I think I'll finally start a NG+ and just have a casual time through it to just enjoy the newly expanded upon story. Getting the Zwill Crossblades was a lot easier then I thought. For whatever reason I thought it was going to be hard as fuck when I first tried getting them like a year ago lol
I bought the Royal Pack DLC last night (£11.99, surprisingly cheaper than I thought it would be), was exploring Insomnia and encountered Omega... gonna have to wait til the weekend to try again, it's going to be a long fight >.<
Nvm. Just ran into him. Level 119. This might take awhile lmao.
Ugh it's so hard to wait till this goes on sale cause I want to play it at 21:9 so bad.
Anyone on PC using keyboard or controller only.
gigapixelgaming needs to come back up so I can upload these incredible 200MB pictures of hot dogs and chili
Keyboard+Mouse controls are fine, mostly everything is rebindable and you can even split Jump/Use/etc.
If anyone is experiencing hitching, try this: https://steamcommunity.com/app/63765...7168518535998/
Gonna be playing this tonight hopefully.
Anyone find the Rulers of Yore yet? Or is it a Chapter 14 story boss like Cereberus?
EDIT: Fucking loving the updates to the battle-system. Ignis just runs right through multiple mobs, Prompto makes the pain in the ass insta-kill mobs like Ronins and Psychomancers bearable, and Noctis with Armiger Unleashed is so much fun against bosses once you learn the combos.
Gladio kinda sucks though. Been trying to find a use for him like against Iron Giants or something, still doesn’t seem worth it.
Rulers of Yore:
Spoiler: show
My impressions of the dudes after 3 chapters:
Gladiolus: The typical "I'm gonna protect you because it's my duty and I kind of think you're alright" dude.
Ignis: The "I know waaaaaaaay more about the plot that I will reveal to you later in the story after some plot twist" dude.
Prompto: The "overly eager and naive bro who will selflessly try to be a hero until he suffers some kind of emotional trauma and learns a valuable life lesson" dude.
Noctis: Dangerously close to Squall levels of emo/indifference in main story missions, surprisingly upbeat and helpful in side quests. Tough to get a read on him. I'm sure he'll have some epiphany moment where he resolves himself to be the hero or some such.
Kinda makes sense considering the things that happen to him in the main quest, I mean, (ch2 spoiler)

Holy fuck these battles were amazing both gameplay and story-wise. Wish they had been there my initial play-through so that I wouldn’t had to have purposely nerf myself just now.
Spoiler: show
They made Insomnia way bigger. Just fix Tenebrae and make the Leviathan part of Altissia suck way less and I'll be content with this game finally being finished.
They just need to...

Finally got around to messing with the Royal Vessel tonight.
