In a bubble, this movie was quite enjoyable. I did think Taskmaster was severely underused, and the motivating plot was weak as hell and should have been something else completely, but it was an entertaining movie.

Outside of that bubble and in the grand scheme of the MCU this movie was pointless filler that only serves to introduce 1 new character. The biggest flaw, obviously, is that this movie should have come out some time between Civil War and Infinity War. It is good that aside from the Post-Credit scene, you can throw this movie anywhere after Civil War and be spoiler-free, but also, you could leave this movie out completely and it would do no harm to the MCU. It actually even undermines a scene from Endgame.

Black Widow’s speech to Hawkeye when deciding who gets to jump off a cliff in Endgame and she’s like “I have no family.” This movie is literally all about her family and literally ends with her saying she has two families.

This is Lost Potential: The Movie. If this had been planned earlier, they could have done so much more.

To reiterate, I enjoyed the movie. It was a good, action packed, mindless fun, movie. Coulda been more. Could have meant something more.

Marvel is falling into power level inconsistency trap. Was Taskmaster a super soldier? Because if not her beating the brakes off red guardian is weird af. Natasha is just a human and has no x gene or any super abilities right? Our good sis should've been out for awhile after her car was hit directly with a rocket and then she got tossed around like a doll by Taskmaster. Then she's in another rollover accident and walks away unscathed. Then she's falling a good 25 feet from the air and landing on her feet and just fine? Oh and the parachute scene at the end with her and Taskmaster. That parachute wasn't open long enough to decelerate both of them.

Also her family was an afterthought. They weren't snapped. You mean to say Clint never knew about her time in Ohio and she never mentioned to him once, all the years they knew each other a family, even if it was for a mission. They told each other everything. "I don't have a family, anymore" is what they would've written for her. This universe is built around its continuity.
