Well my kids friend started playing so my kids wanted to play too so they could join the games. Now we are pulled back in. Playing commander again regularly. Their friends dad plays too so we have a good little group. Bought them each a precon commander deck and rebuilt one of my older decks and got a precon deck (Eldrazi Incursion) to stay on a similar power level.

We are all having fun some of the new cards are fun. It isn't as bad as I thought. I don't like how nothing has a downside now and all cards are so strong. I also don't like cards that require extra knowledge and can't be understood just by reading the card (like the whole "the ring tempts you" thing).

Other than that it isn't as bad as I thought to get back into the game.

The bloomburrow deck I got my son is super fun and cute. I want to get the others at some point. Seems like a really cool set.

They did a great job with Bloomburrow. It has the feel of an old Magic set and doesn't really have anything super busted compared to some recent sets. Mice being the main thing, but mono red/Sligh will always be a thing. lol

I stopped buying boosters back in my Yu-Gi-Oh days in 2008 the secondary market is almost always cheaper for deck building overall.

Only reason one should be paying for boosters is as part of the entry fee for a draft or sealed tournament

It's a Standard set, so all non-Collector products should get lots of reprints. It just might be a while due to the demand the set is getting.
