WotC announced a shit load of stuff today. Bunch of new Final Fantasy stuff for the holidays, but more importantly, there will be Furby themed cards.

Plenty happy I decided to walk away from the game this week.

If they hadn't swapped Lorwyn and Avatar, 2026 would have only 2 MAGIC sets and 5 UB sets.
And they already went from 6 sets to 7 sets, they say 2027 will be six, but that's over a year from now, they'll find an excuse.

Standard is fucked. If they pull their head out of their ass I might come back, but this is it until someone makes a rogue digital rules enforced implementation that focuses on classic and non-UB sets.

The message has been really clear if you don't like UB you can kick rocks. I'm not a super hater of UB like some people but shit has reached critical levels of stupidity. But LOTR and FF were the best selling sets of all time so I would expect things to only get worse.

The biggest problem with Magic is the people making design and comp decision. I could live with terrible UB sets if the gameplay was at least in a good state, but it’s the worst it’s *ever* been with 0 exaggeration. I’d rather go back to Necro Winter or OG Affinity timelines.

The people in that building hire their weird ass, totally unqualified friends and boyfriends / girlfriends, and I know that for an absolute, unfortunate fact.

It's 100% sets being balanced around EDH which is all WOTC cares about anymore.

Yeah, getting back into this game was a MISTAKE.

The Plains actually took a lot of effort to find a legit foil version. I guess the tournament they were given out at had low attendance and loot purchases.

Ran out to the general Magic Friday local and man the stories are true it's all EDH. I'm not complaining 4-5 pod EDH is probably the most fun I've had with the game but I understand their are people who don't want to play EDH.

I'd love to be able to get some regular time at the LGS for EDH pod, as it is I can only get myself and the kiddo to our LGS for prerelease events... not complaining there as theyve been a ton of fun.

I think clickable tumbnail view is always borked when you have pictures set to be displayed as URLs as opposed to being embedded into posts, but not entirely sure how that plays into mobile, assuming there are specific settings involved there. And, of course, assuming that is what you are running with.
