That's very likely staged by the highway patrol or w/e as part of a safe driving campaign or something. I've seen several.

No, it was real. 4 rib fractures and a lis franc fracture that required an ORIF. Patient couldn't remember any details. I wouldn't have remembered shit either.

I understand the irony of someone wrecking their car on a sign that says "stop the wrecks," but I legit think that the sign is maybe to blame here. It's like 4 inches off the road and installed with a 4x4 that is apparently dug in deep. Who thought that was a good idea?

to hit an obstruction off the road is gonna be on the driver, even if it's only 4 inches off the road. it may or may not be a great location or design but that is head-up-asshole operating almost certainly. off the left-hand side of the road too? pff

It's way more off the road than you think. Look how WIDE that sign is. If it was 4" off the road cars would be getting haircuts.
