Combat is a lot of fun but I am early in the game. I kind of like that this isn't some kind of 60+ hr game. I can do the main story quicklike and then extend the playthrough with co-op stuff as I want.

Especially with FF7 coming out later this month. It's the whole reason I didn't start Yakuza 8 yet because I know that will take me forever to play.

I'm chapter six and my only complaint ATM is the lack of control over SBA. Why they don't let you have the option of manually initiating party members SBA is beyond me since they are such a core part of GB. It's either all full auto when 100%, follow you only, or always hold SBA. Also, rupees seem a bit on the low side right now as I have mats to make weapons but lack funds to forge and upgrade them.

Endgame gets really fun, if not pretty grindy once you get into extreme. Game was a cakewalk w/ 2 players until that point with getting all the SS+ ratings. Now we're barely pulling S lmao.

Be nice if there was a universal standard for attack, block, dodge, jump, and guard in games. Swapping for different games screws with muscle memory.

Thankfully I was more interested in Persona nad Star Rail this week so I didn't really care. Only ordered at that store because I had a gift card there, but it's the second time I pre-ordered something from them and got it days after release.

It's still just a steam code, you just get a box to go with it.

On PS5. On Chapter 0 now. Been maining Sieg. I just like big swords, and he fun. Even more fun once you get the passive that removes interruption when getting hit mid perfect attack.

I do like how most of the characters just feel different and have special timings you can do when performing their combos.

I just got to ch 5 but I wish every character had their own MSP so I could spec everyone up rather than investing in the first few that i like.

Not sure if you saw that tip, but somewhat related: if you're not planning to play a character immediately, don't unlock them until you've completed the story. This way they will unlock at level 60 + also have @50% of their board already mastered.

I did see that. And more reason I wish every character had their own MSP. I wish I could try them out during the story itself lol

Another tip I found if you wanna min/max is to NOT unlock all the characters, only the ones you really want. Once you get to endgame the best weapons are from a boss fight and the more characters you have the lower chance you'll get the desired weapon for your character since it widens the drop pool

I'm maining bubble defender Vane and loving it. Then secondary playing Siegfriend trying to figure him out.

Here's the problem I have. How do I know who I will like without unlocking them?

Just lost most of my nights progress because I'm not used to having to manually save due to quick save causing possible corruption, and they don't fucking save to steam servers. Nice they can let you hack your game save though?

Honestly that shit doesn't matter, unlock what you want. MSP is not something that's hard to come by. Particularly once you're past the first few difficulty levels in endgame. If you choose to farm it, you can max the trees for several characters in just a few hours. There are repeatable quests requiring elemental shards in Folca that you can reset and do again just by leaving the area. Doing those two gives you 1400 MSP for 20? shards.
