I saw the replay much later. Unfortunate because he was doing a great job defending up until that point.

And because the internet sucks, Kimi Antonelli has been getting death threats. FOM/Liberty piss awful at shaping the narrative for not showing the pass until way after the checkers. Kimi's tyres were dead after holding off Lando for so long. The Hadjar puncture adds an exclamation point to how fucked everyone's tyres were at the end.

Those 3 points McLaren made Oscar give to Lando in Monza are definitely coming back to haunt him, for the record lol. It's a 6 point swing between Oscar and Lando. As it stands Oscar is basically drawing dead.

Max's engineer made a comment that was aired (by the production team) that "of course Kimi let Lando thru". You could hear the eye roll lol, but to be fair to red bull there's no way of knowing what is and isn't going to be broadcast; the production team should have been fairer to Mercedes and Kimi than to air such a comment. Clearly that's not how it went down

And it's totally unfair to both drivers, cause if those points are what settles the championship than poor Lando is going to be haunted by "you were gifted a championship" and Oscar is gonna be haunted by "you could have had one but you followed team orders". Totally unfair to both competitors.

Well deserved by Isack, he has driven a hell of a season. Hopeful that the regulation changes are enough of an equalizer to see what he is really capable of. Tough break for Yuki, but the timing on him getting the RBR seat could not have been worse.

Liam was not super impressive this year but after the catastrophe that was him in RBR, he did have a decent return to form by the end of the season, though I wonder if he’s destined to be a midfield driver for the rest of his career. As for Arvid, I haven’t followed F2 as much this year so I don’t really have a sense for what he will bring, but with this last slate of rookies being so good, I am hoping for more good talent on the grid.

Unfortunate for Yuki, that second seat just feels like the kiss of death the last couple years. Hopefully Isack can buck that trend.

I'm a pretty neutral fan overall but I am definitely not a Lawson fan, not after last season of DTS. The egg on his face this season was a good look on him.

Boring ass race aside from the stories and opening lap, but great conclusion to a silly season that shouldn't have been this close to begin with.

Congrats Lando, congrats Max for the almost comeback, congrats Piastri for delivering a great race after falling off at the end of the season. Looking forward to next year!

Max's tantrum in Spain lost him the WDC, lol.

Also McLaren fucking over Oscar in Monza won Lando the championship.

Also also Kimi's fuck up last week won Lando the championship.

People are going to look at that swap in Monza with hindsight and say it was the right decision, but I just disagree completely. McLaren wants to have it both ways where they say they have two great drivers and they just want to let them race, but they've shown that they do actually have a favourite, and it isn't Oscar. Lando owes Oscar a very expensive Christmas present because if Oscar hadn't followed stupid team orders that made the championship leader give up a place because of his own team's terrible pitstop, we'd be talking about how both Lando and Oscar completely imploded right now instead of Lando celebrating on a yacht somewhere.
