Occurred 25 minutes into the 4 hour session at the turn before the Carousel. Not posting pictures but it's easily found out there.During today's first race of the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers, a serious accident involving seven participants occurred during the start. Following the collision of several vehicles, race control immediately stopped the race to allow for extensive recovery and rescue operations.
Despite the immediate arrival of emergency services, paramedics were unable to save driver Juha Miettinen (BMW 325i, #121) after he was extricated from his vehicle. The driver died at the Medical Center after all resuscitation attempts failed.
The other six drivers involved were taken to the Medical Center and nearby hospitals for precautionary examinations. None of the injured are in life-threatening condition.
The race will not resume on Saturday evening. The thoughts of everyone involved in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring are with the bereaved family of Juha Miettinen.
Juha was 66 years old.

I think all the penalties got settled at last, Alpine appeal withstanding.
Kimi with a dominating drive. Hadjar with a podium. Max has no power. Speeding penalties for like the entire field. Merc fucking up the double stack touching Russel's car improperly serving the penalty. Asphalt breaking up leading to two wrecks (though for Leclerc, 3 of his 4 brakes were failing). First points for Perez and Cadilac Alonso and Aston Martin. Double points for VCARB.
Real shame Max was out off the rip, I think he could have made the start interesting with Kimi.
LeClerc comms continue to be the highlight of the races for me.

So the FIA has determined the RB engine is the benchmark engine on the grid, which means that despite winning every race by nearly a lap so far this season, Merc is eligible for an engine upgrade lmao
