Friend on mine literally just speculated to me that they did this on purpose to get back at Bottas for “not following team orders” last time. I have no clue where his head was at but his justification is because Merc can afford a repair very easily. This kind of stuff seriously doesn’t just get thought of on purpose, that’s a major accident/malfunction. And to risk the constructor’s like that is a bit much.
