Bro if there’s no penalty, there’s clear favoritism. If these tiny incidents in austria had penalties, this definitely will.

Ok well there, 10 second penalty for Ham
Man lots of teams having issues with the wheels on pit stops
r/formula1 gonna be insufferable for the next week
Max is out of the hospital, reportedly no major injuries.
View of the crash from the stands
There's enough to talk about with the drama between the top two teams.
Me? I'm just happy to see that the McLaren/Ferrari race for 3rd may be really on. Ricciardo put together a good race 2 weeks ago and backed it up with a solid week here.
So they're going to have a video conference on Thursday because Red Bull has called for review on the Lewis penalty. I love how this didn't get handled on the week off and instead is just before the start of the race weekend.
It's already all been reviewed though and everyone has moved on except for Horner and RB.
Can you imagine how much more people would hate Lewis if the roles were reversed and Toto was doing this? Well, probably as much as they already hate him.
My guess is that Honda probably told RB the power unit is fucked so Horner is gonna try to complain is way out of having it count against them.
Estimated $1.8mil in repairs
The FIA ruling has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not this counts against the budget.
And if somehow it does, does that Mercedes gets the money back for the Bottas crash earlier in the season?
I've watched enough courtroom dramas to recognize this as a "Mr. Horner, you'd better have some compelling evidence" and for this to get thrown out basically immediately, with him squealing that "I want my objection noted on the record" as the stewards roll their eyes are like "fine, it's noted".
I have no problem with him or Toto 3/4 of the time but I'm already tired of them acting like children for everyone to see.
I’m going to reread some stuff, i saw motorsport articles saying that cost cap was not relevant in sprint races, but apply to sunday GPs and have always applied when they got introduced. If i stand corrected, then my bad.
Edit: there are implications that it is included in the cost cap due to it affecting upgrade development costs, but it looks like people don’t seem to know if it’s a definitive yes or no. This is from autosport.com
Feels like it’s a gray area in a way because the FIA stated this in their exception list:Teams are limited to spend $145 million through the 2021 season under the cost cap, meaning any unexpected or unplanned crash damage costs bite harder than in previous years.
Toto pretty much made mention of the Bottas/Russell crash in Imola impacting their costs in future car development for the year. It may not speak much but it almost feels like it does affect it? I did not see any mention of repairs at all, in the included or exception list, so i guess it’s an unknown. You mentioned that the cap doesn’t cover all team expenditure. So what is included and excluded in the cap?
The cap covers expenditure that relates to car performance. It excludes all marketing costs, race driver fees and the costs of the team’s three highest paid personnel.
Teams such as Williams run Heritage car programmes. These will be excluded too, as will all corporate income tax and other non-F1 activities. Their property costs – such as the factory – employee bonus costs and fees to enter the championship and purchase superlicences are also exempt.
The cost of purchasing a customer engine supply deal – which has been capped at €15m per season – as well as flight and hotel costs for race and testing travel do not count.
Where's the Horner cam for the checkered flag on Q3?
Oh the internet is going to absolutely love how Q3 finished up.
I for one found it and the reaction from the fans in attendance fucking hilarious
