Ahead of the CotA weekend, Christian Lundgaard (F2 driver in the Renault/Alpine team academy) is moving to IndyCar with a multi-year deal with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing joining Jack Harvey and Grahm Rahal for the 3 car team.
Meanwhile Hulkenberg is scheduled for an IndyCar test at Skip Barber with Arrow McLaren and F3 driver Logan Sargeant with AJ Foyt. McLaren aren't planning immediately on running a 3rd car in 2022 with Pato O'Ward or Felix Rosenqvist so it's all speculation what this test is for.

I really hope Sunday is still commercial free airing on ABC in the middle of the day.
F1 is basically the only fucking sport in the entire US that doesn't have commercials right now.
Omg they got verstappen doing Bitcoin ads for cash app on YouTube
I feel so dirty

Gotta pay for Monaco groceries somehow.
Highlight of Q2 was the guy in the crowd wearing a Danny Ric McLaren shirt doing a shoey out of a pair of $400 Jordans.
Get’em Max
Damn I wanted a RBR front row lockout.
Dat RB undercut.
Also I'm loving this commercial free coverage.
Damn you can hear how fucking busted Gasly's suspension is
Wow what a crazy final few laps. Get’em Max, good job for Ham also, Checo 3rd. RBR 1-3!!
Perez passed Lando in the driver's championship, and kept a possible 3rd place in play. Ferrari still close to McLaren, and Yuki earning some points to capitalize on both alpine not finishing; they're only 10 points behind them now.
Gonna be hard for rbr to win it at this point, unless the reliability of the Mercedes ICE is really that bad. I'm leaning on Bottas taking the 6th one just as a reference to see if Hamilton will end up needing it or benefiting from it. The race itself wasn't all that interesting, but it setup the final 5 races to the season races nicely hehe.

There was a presale for grandstand tickets for the Miami GP. Turn 1 grandstand tickets were shown to be north of $800 each with some higher rows above $1000.
In fact, don't count on any tickets BG fam - https://old.reddit.com/r/formula1/co..._like/hi564w6/
I checked, the presale code was leaked so the tickets were sold out before my window even came up. Feels bad man, but they were overpriced. It would not be impossible for me to travel to Europe and see an F1 race for cheaper.

Do you guys see the Mexican gp odds on any of your betting site? I'm trying draftkings and hard rock sports book and I don't see anything for formula 1.

Don't worry! They've extended the contract for the Chinese GP through 2025! So what's getting bumped in 2023, or are they going to have another record breaking schedule?
Something I've been wondering for about a month now but never remember to bring it up. Last season was the first time I really followed F1 other than simply watching the races and forgetting about its existence til the next one. Is this season exceptionally bad with these starting penalties? As of today, 16/20 (all but Haas/Alfa) will have taken an engine penalty and while I can understand maybe teetering on the edge of trying to make it last with some going over, it's just mind boggling to me how it's been such a foregone conclusion this season that they'd be talking a month or more in advance of when they should take theirs.
Read on reddit the reasoning for the PU replacement limitations. It's mainly for cost control. No matter how many PUs are allotted, the competitive teams will always take a penalty if it means they can push an engine harder for additional races while taking the grid penalty for a single race.
Since McLaren likely were going to be on worse pace @ Mexico City compared to the rest of the calendar, they took the engine penalty here for Norris instead of the next race at Interlagos. It also helped Riccardio get a higher grid position with Norris towing Ricc down the front stretch during both of the quali runs since they are in a tight fight with Ferrari for 3rd in the constructors.
RBR took the engines because title fight and their engines got wrecked in crashes (Silverstone for Verstappen, Hungary for Perez) that they had to be replaced anyways.
Mercedes didn't have as many issues with crashes compared to RBR, but obviously they want to push their PUs harder.
