Vettel on record saying he wouldn't race in Russia.
And it would be nice to be rid of Sochi on the calendar.
So last week was the Daytona 500. Had it on the background. Super Speedway is probably not a good snapshot of the new cars. The series is back to California at Auto Club Speedway this weekend.
IndyCar opens up the season in St. Petersburg, FL. Callum Ilott and Christian Lundgaard make the jump across the pond to run a full season. Grosjean running a full season after skipping out on most ovals (raced at formerly Gateway last year, now World Wide Technology Raceway). And Tatiana Calderon, formerly of Sauber/Alfa Romeo Racing, is driving with A.J. Foyt Racing opting to only run the road/street courses. Looking forward to a good season here and I may go to the Long Beach GP in April.
And on the technical front, the cars have been experiencing a lot of bottoming out under load due to the downforce on the new cars. But when the cars either bottom out or get really close to, the ground effect from the underbody aero stops working springing the cars upwards, reactivating the ground aero, then sucking the car back down in an oscillating fashion until the braking zones.

Also rumors have it that Sepang International Circuit is being floated as the Russian GP replacement. All rumors and/or preliminary so grain of salt.

At least get the tweet from Haas. And I guess I have to add the memes to it - https://twitter.com/MrHemJ/status/1501616238304370698
Also lost in the tweets. K. Mag got a multi-year contract so I am guessing he's going to put in work to develop the car over his tenure.
Christian Horner takes one look at the W13 that showed up for testing today and is already declaring it illegal.

Merc is clearly on some shit the other teams don't know about.
I've been dying to see the evolution of the side pods this season. Half the grid has wildly different ideas of how it should be done. I think I see vents on the new merc one? Been really curious how the vented ones compare to the non vented ones.

What sidepods? Merc said fuck that shit and everyone else is freaking out about it.
Supposedly they already cleared it with the FIA before showing up today tho
Riccardo tested positive for covid.
Should see the Vegas GP officially announced here in a few day
I only watched the 1st, 5th, and last episode. I think I'm so done with the show lol
