Zak Brown being absolutely brutal. Theo Pourchaire let go yesterday from his Indycar ride for rookie and LMP2 Class Winner Nolan Seigel. This was the seat vacated by Dave Malukus after he triggered a clause in his contract for missing 4 races.

It was a complicated picture that was brought about with the Canapino drama posted earlier. Canapino was told to sit out Road America 2 weekends ago with Seigel pretty much burning his Indy NXT championship aspirations to drive for Juncos Hollinger for the race weekend. Le Mans happens. Seigel is now a hot commodity. McLaren was scouting him since prior to the Indy 500 according to McLaren special advisor Tony Kannan. TK was the one that gave the fateful call to Pourchaire informing him that he lost the seat.

The short of it - McLaren is a brutal as fuck rider carousel.

Y'all laughed early in the season when I said things might be opening up in the championship, but here we are with checo getting single digit points race after race and max showing signs of weakness. All this on the heels of Newey leaving and this dynamic really can shift quickly.

Max finally having to work for wins and he's back to taking opponents out.

Max had two abnormally shit pit stops, otherwise he wins by 7+ seconds. Still not convinced Lando has the skills to win, he has dreadful starts and then fumbles his early race pace. The crash was racing. This was a funeral of a race until then.
