Ok, first off the majority are not making millions as you put it. Second, so just because they are paid more then they were 30 years ago means they give up their right to protest peacefully? It was never about military as it is. Owners and Trump made it about that to deflect off of the issue. I mean fuck, it was a former soldier who was also a former player (and white to boot) who said to kneel instead of sit, and they still spun it that way. And you keep saying 99.9% of them would do something else if they were making peanuts, then why do so many of them go off to do CFL or other leagues that pay peanuts just for a chance to get back into the NFL? You keep reaching for straws cause you can't stand the fact a black guy is making you uncomfortable and your closet racism is creeping out constantly. Maybe you should just go back to lying and exaggerating in the SF V and Evo threads instead.
What the fuck are you still going on about? Once again, I don't give a shit if they protest or not, or what they are protesting about. I only posted to clarify that they are taking years off their lives for millions of dollars and not because they want to entertain us. I couldn't care less whether or or not they go see Trump at the White House. And I didn't vote for him either, since you're being a complete twat by pathetically tossing out racist remarks.
never change bg nfl off season & draft thread big dixk nick, never change
we need tommygunz or ninjalotter in here, get some quality back in here
I did not call you racist. I do not call anyone racist, unless there is definite proof. I called you a twat for calling me racist. If anyone else read it the same way Melena did, please speak up. I don't know what universe you live in where calling you a twat = calling you racist.
To make it clear: I do not care if they kneel. It 100% has hurt the sport/owners, which is what I've commented on. It is not good for their business, which is how I look at everything. If someone like Eric Reid complains about not getting a job, after hurting his owner's business, then I think he dug his own grave and he is an idiot. I don't give a damn if he is white, black, or has any other color skin. The approach he and others have taken has done more harm than good, for their cause. I don't think anyone, other than the lowest scum in our country, would disagree with them having a conference or some other function to address their topics, but a lot of people don't want anything politic-related when attending or watching sporting events. Part of the beauty of sports is escaping everything else for 2-3 hours.
I'll apologize to you if you somehow took something I said as calling you racist because I would never idiotically call someone a racist.
Edit: Added more
I never made one racist remark outside of saying how we have a bunch of old white men who can't handle that blacks are now using their platform as NFL players to call out social injustice, police brutality and killings, and that the owners are trying to blame lower ratings and attendance strictly on it as an insult against the military instead of people getting sick of the NFL's bullshit on spousal abuse, fucking over fan loyalty repeatedly by letting teams move when they don't get their tax funded billion dollar stadiums, concerns about long term health over concussions and other football related injuries, and that people are sick of cables bullshit and just cutting the cord. I mean look at any sport or major tv show, ratings are down across the board. I don't see them blaming it on a bunch of players kneeling. I mean the olympics in the 60's didn't blame lower ratings on black men raising their fists on the podium.
No, I'm basing it on the people I know (locally and in other cities) that have been generational or day 1 ticker holders and all or some combination of: not renewing their PSLs, selling their season tickets, stopped attending the games, and stopped watching period. Entirely due to the kneeling/politics that have entered the game.
The owners would not be having all-hands meetings to discuss the kneeling, if it wasn't affecting their brand. It absolutely has. They are dumb for making it public and making repercussions regarding it, since it was dying off anyway. It is clear to players that if they kneel, they could end up not playing in the league anymore. It had solved itself, and now they made it worse for themselves.
At the end of the day, the owners are billionaires and almost all of the players are millionaires, so I don't feel for either side. Both sides went about it poorly.
Well out here, most of the people I know who are not renewing are doing it either because their team became trash, team moved, or jacked prices up where they now can't afford it. The whole kneeling thing is nothing more than spin to justify why everything is dropping. The people not watching/giving up tickets over kneeling is an incredibly small drop in the bucket, but it makes for an easy excuse.
Not here. Our team is finally getting good again, and a massive amount of people walked out of the stadium in Week 3(?) when we played the Seahawks, with both teams remaining in the locker room during the anthem. Almost the entire crowd boo'd even the home team, a lot left the stadium, and I know many that didn't renew their PSLs or attend any game after that one. I'm pretty sure we had less people in attendance for Week 17, with playoffs on the line, than we did a September game.
So one team out of 30. I know a ton of people are letting their Raiders season tickets go not just because they are moving (las vegas is super short flight from oakland or an 8 hour drive) but because the PSL's are insane. My dad to keep his same tier tickets (48 yard line, lower deck visitor side) would have had to drop 40k just for the two psl's, on top of the cost of season tickets. Add in the fact they are abandoning Oakland yet again, and yeah I expect viewership and attendance to suffer for them.
Also, so many walkouts from that game. Though at least ESPN pointed out audible boos. Also, I'll add in this. Average daily attendance for the Titans INCREASED every year for at least the past 4 years running. Still bottom half of the league, so my guess is again, you're exaggerating to back up your claims. http://www.espn.com/nfl/attendance/_/year/2017

I don't know when that is from (appears during the anthem), but they indeed had a ton of walk outs (one group right after kickoff and more at halftime).
bring back ninjalotter, i wanna hear how the eagles cheated their way to the super bowl
then ban him again
