also there’s quite a bit of noise out there that during the flag hump at the White House today, the White House had paid staffers go outside and pretend to be eagles fans to make the event look bigger

this is coming from reporters going around the lawn asking “who was the eagles starting qb last year” and a large majority of the “fans” didn’t know the answer

most people are dubious that eagles fans eager enough to make a trip to the White House to celebrate a championship wouldn’t be able to offer either foles or wentz as an asnwer

I agree some brands are ever so slightly tarnished, but nothing long term imo. They're currently shooting their nose off in spite of their face though, and I guarantee you their decisions on this in the off season will affect their brand more than any kneeling did.

I like the PFT theory: No team would finance his trip (usually the team you make it in as pays for you to go, apparently), so by not going he's trying to get a media outlet to cover him wherever he is and foot the bill.

I think it's just as simple as he wanted to give a slap in the face to the people that said they would never vote him in due to off-the-field issues, given they were first balloting the biggest red flag in NFL history(Ray Lewis' possible involvement in murder).
