Adam Schefter now saying it’s definite 3 games but there’s been no official announcement from the NFL or the Bucs yet. Interestingly it’s likely gonna be for failure to report the Uber incident (whether he did it or not is irrelevant) because it’s a violation of the NFL player conduct policy. Which, I dunno, there was never a police report or a charge filed, I wouldn’t think it’d necessarily need to be reported, but I’m not privy to the exact wording of the NFL player conduct policy. Jameis should have been though, so, dumb on him.

Yeah, and there isn’t reason to fight it. The suspension is for failing to report the incident—his guilt or innocence (at least in this instance) is irrelevant. Take it and get it over with.

Jameis suspension has been made official. Bucs released a statement saying they were agreeing to the NFL’s decision and that they were disappointed in Jameis. Jameis released a statement where he apologized to the Uber driver, the Bucs organization and fans, and says he recognizes he has to do better and that he has since completely removed alcohol from his life in an effort to improve.

So, basically they are in full damage control now and Jameis might have goofed one too many times. I dunno how many more chances he is gonna get (with the Bucs).

More details from NFL report on Jameis are requiring him to obtain a clinical evaluation, cooperate with any recommended intervention programs, and that a future violation “will result in more substantial discipline, including a potential ban from the NFL”.
