Oh, he is will get a chance to start and fail in overwhelming fashion. I would have to think about the baseline. Let's just go with: "it will be obvious he was a mistake". It will probably go something like this:

1. Flacco sucks in 2018
2. Start LJ in 2018, when playoff picture is over.
3. Get rid of Flacco in 2019 offseason.
4. Decide to retain Harbaugh
5. LJ is a bust in 2019.
6. Decide to fire Harbaugh.
7. Hire new coach to give LJ fresh air.
8. LJ is a bust in 2020.
9. Media decides it is because he had new coaches too often.
10. LJ goes to another team and it becomes clear he isn't starting material in training camp.
11. End.
