I know Elgin is a turd, but he's been super impressive since shedding weight. Really loving BC going back to their roots with getting involved and what not.

Eh, Elgin is basically just back where he was 2nd half 2015/1st half 2016, but in better shape. He does some neat feats of strength at times and that's cool, but I'm just not all that interested in him. If I just look at the roster, there's probably somewhere between 13-15 people I'd rather watch in singles matches than him. Most of the people that I'd favor him over are primarily tag guys anyway. He's obviously very good, but there's no shortage on people/teams I'm more interested in on every card.

Firing Squad is trash. This is worse than Suzuki-gun at its lowest last year. I don't care that they're heels and are supposed to do bad things. It'll be better in the fall or by/around WK when the group is probably something more like: White-Ishimori-Fale-GoD-Henare-Yujiro, but til then, they're just pointless and terrible.

Night 4 was remarkably stacked card for something that didn't have stuff that you'd put on Night 1/2 or 17/18. That's just a superbly deep block, where if you just isolate Tama Tonga and Sanada, it's like impossible to come up with a bad card out of the remaining 8. More stuff about Night 4/5:

Jay White has 6 points through 3 matches. That's not a big deal. Lots of people start out undefeated and can become also-rans by the end. Those people would have wins over like... Makabe, Tacos, and Page who would not likely help in a tie-breaker situation. White's in a pretty strong spot so far,

Also, I can't believe it took me this long to realize what they're doing with Yano AND Firing Squad. They're repeating 2017's BOSJ. Tongans are the extremely lame show-ruining people like Suzuki-gun was. Yano is our valiant hero like Liger was. I don't know if Yano will lose every match, but I'm banking on him not cheating until Budokan, when he faces Tama Tonga. The place is going to go nuts when he rolls up Tama after a low blow.

Doesn't matter, since the correct answer to who is the best is Tanahashi.

Using some of those people for comparing Okada and Naito is really imbalanced though. Tanahashi is probably the best one, since the others are either too limited on one or both sides or are G1 series (Omega-Naito). Let's see how Omega and Naito do when they're doing all the work of a proper feud and build. WK would be nice.

I've read that Slammiversary was really good, so I may try to catch a replay of it. After the fiasco of BFG last year, Redemption was a great bounce back a couple months ago, and this seems to keep building on it. Good for them.
