New Japan Pro-Wrestling is happy to announce that All In at Sears Centre Arena in Illinois on September 1st will be available at NJPW World as SVOD.

NJPW World will stream 9 matches from this historic event.

It is to be determined when SVOD will be made available. We will announce it later.

So probably not gonna be up the same day.

But man, I really don't wanna spend 40 bucks.

I know the initial announcement tweet didn't have a time/day put on it, but considering how close before the event, saying shortly or soon, I would have thought it might be the evening after at the latest. RevPro events often take some time (2-3 weeks). Summer Sizzler matches still aren't up. WALTER vs. Ishii is probably available the normal places, but I've already waited 2 weeks. I can wait longer.

Also, Ibushi apparently lost everything but his passport, pocket change, and his gear. Typical Ibushi trip.

So about All In, thought I'd mention this here since our forum is smaller and not full of cognitively impaired people. My buddy has been a wrestling fan all his life. His apartment walls are covered from top to bottom with wrestling posters. He was a WCW fan before the Monday Night Wars.

So both of our first time watching NJPW was Wrestle Kingdom 9 and we both thought it was awesome. Back then he didn't have internet so only I continued to watch NJPW but he'd watch some when he'd come over. Wrestling wise it's clear NJPW is high quality. He pops for the big spots and all that. Now here is the thing, he's a huge Roman fan. I'm only bringing this up because wrestling wise, Roman is middle of the pack in WWE in my opinion but my friend thinks Roman is actually the best wrestler in WWE.

I asked if he wanted to come over to watch All In. He said verbatim, "I have zero interest in watching anyone on that show." Now some might say he's trolling. He's not. I assure you, he's not. Lately whenever I bring up NJPW or LU he has zero interest. It's only WWE. I just don't get why someone who was brought up watching NWA to WCW, WWE, ECW now hates anything outside of WWE. I get it. Fanboy. But so deep? I find it so strange.

If people are entertained by main roster WWE stuff, good for them. If that is all they want, also good for them. There are people whose entertainment is "reality" tv shit like duck dynasty, real housewives, big brother, etc. That doesn't make Pawn Stars better in any way compared to Game of Thrones or Westworld or something.
That being said, the more I watch stuff outside WWE, I realize just how bad WWE is. Not bad in the way Triplemania is bad. Rather, everything is so homogenized and yet we are constantly told how amazing and groundbreaking everything is. I hadn't watched a WWE thing in a month then I watched Summerslam. Even the good stuff just felt so-so, with wrestlers going through the motions with no emotional investment in the outcome.

For someone like my friend who loves the moves and stuff looking good, that's why I don't get it how he has zero interest of any other promotion. You're spot on too about how everything in the WWE is groundbreaking, historical, etc and when they are 'breaking down barriers" that they set up themselves and it's super obvious why should anyone care.

I find myself more emotionally invested in the majority of NJPW matches from the match themselves. Most of them create the story with the art inside the ropes. Yes some promo work outside is good but I've never thought "this guy can't cut a promo I'm done with him". I mean, I love Hiromu and the last promo I remember him cutting was screaming more fun about the BoSJ. Kevin Owens, Joe, and AJ Styles are excellent at not feeling 100% scripted and they really grip you. I don't know why Dolph and Seth are feuding.

Production value is usually why I favor WWE stuff, personally. Even when WCW was a thing, you could just tell a difference between lighting and audio quality. Unfortunately, when I catch stuff like RoH here on the local channel occasionally, such things further emphasize they're in a school gym, legion hall, or whatever. All that further translates to moves not sounding impactful, the ring being too loud/rattly, into music being intangible, and most certainly the audio commentary garbling when they decide to get loud, themselves.

None of this is the wrestler's fault, but it just makes the programs harder to watch.

I can definitely understand that with RoH or the smaller indies and venues. Since I stream everything I have a tendency to hope for the best and expect the worst for audio, especially if it's on watch.wrestling or other avenues.

At Chikara's King of Trios Night 1. Never been to a Chikara show and haven't watched much, but Darren Young, Michael Tarver, and Justin Gabriel are one of the teams. Mostly here to see Miyu Yamashita, Yuka Sakazaki, and Shoko Nakajima from TJPW though.

So, All In really had a little bit of everything. While it won't contend with one of the better NXT or NJPW shows in terms of match quality from top to bottom, it wasn't supposed to. In terms of just a fun experience, it absolutely delivered.
