No contest in a HIAC match is some special kind of bullshit. But Brock returning is neat.

What a way to ruin what was a great PPV. Good job "listening to the fans and giving them what they want".
Oh hey it’s Jeremy Borash on WWE Network, neat.
So they got strowman to lose the briefcase by having a fucking cell match go to no contest. Jesus fuck wwe, do you even try anymore?
In theory, the match was a no contest, thus never happened, and he SHOULD retain his briefcase.
I understand the point of all the shenanigans with Ambrose, Rollins, Drew, and Dolph were probably so nobody could stop Brock, but they should have made it so they did their part a lot quicker and/or just had one of them chasing Ziggler out of the arena. Right, they have to revisit table spots, even though they do that 3x a year anyway.
When they were doing the ring announcing at the start of the match, I don't think they said it was cashing in anyway, since he just "gave" the thing to Corbin a few weeks ago. I'm not sure, since I haven't seen Raw. Whether or not they knew all along that they'd have Brock, they knew there would be some screwy finish, so it's probably another case of "well, let's not decide what to do" and they'll decide if this burned the briefcase or not probably 10 minutes before Raw starts tomorrow.. Not that it matters, since they'll just give him a "rematch" since rematches aren't just for people that lost their titles in 2018.
Sad how that was actually a pretty goddamn solid PPV. Mixed tag was weak, and the Raw Women's match wasn't that good either, but basically everything else was fucking top notch. A+ to the Raw Tag Title match, especially the finish.
But all we're gonna remember is that WWE decided to end a Hell in a Cell match with a No Contest. oy vey
Dumb as fuck ending.
At least Becky is champ <3
Gotta say I was really impressed with this show, the action was solid top to bottom. Sweet Christmas though, not even Hell in the Cell is safe from a screwy finish anymore.
He's been in WWE for nearly a year now.
I decided to play Spider-Man instead of watching HiaC. Can someone explain to me why AJ taps, ref misses it, and the result is a no DQ\no countout rematch? Shouldn't this have been the no DQ\No Countout match after the finish to their previous match? Shouldn't the next match be a submission match or a multiple ref match or something?
Because "Smo Joe" is a fatass and AJ was tapping on his side, away from the ref. Credit to how they handled that. I didn't even realize how Joe sold that until seeing the reaction on replay much later when they said "and still..."
Destruction in Beppu was this morning and on this multi-show tour, they're currently 0/2. I believe that the Ace can salvage this tour by defeating Okada and taking Yoshi-Hashi under his wing (yes, this is apparently something Tana requested).

In general I haven't cared about anything Naito/Suzuki. Not even sure why it's a thing. I sort of like the Yoshi-Hashi story going with Jay White creating chaos within CHAOS. Jay is completely right with his actions. In kayfabe, he'll do whatever it takes and Okada is being a hypocrite condemning Jay while the other ACE, Yano Toru, uses underhanded tactics in every match.
I've never thought Yoshi-Hashi to be a bad wrestler. His character is not a good enough wrestler to cover up being a charisma black hole. Maybe breaking from CHAOS and taking on Tana as a mentor is what's best.
Those kind of Suzuki matches work fine against Tanahashi, usually well against Okada, and it's basically a coin flip if they work well against others. Naito/Suzuki seems to just be one of those combinations of people who are among the best in their company that just haven't seemed to figure it out when they get a big match against each other. Fortunately, most of those usually will tend to happen in the G1/NJC so even if it's a main event, it's easy enough to move on.
Yoshi-Hashi does get some unwarranted hate on the internet, which is bizarre. He's basically a better, Japanese Chase Owens. We can argue whether or not he deserves a G1 spot, or if he should be part of whatever this Tana storyline is, but he has a role and does fine for it. Shit, let him win the 6-man titles along with Best Friends or something. I'd actually kind of love that.
That's a good point. Has anybody made someone tap while also tapping before? That wouldn't anatomically work unless one or both of them has a submission finisher that I'm unaware of, but they have 3 weeks to figure one out!
Found a clip of the finish to that match on reddit: https://streamable.com/sz9i3
Supposedly Brock is back because the Saudi’s wanted him for their November 2nd show and were willing to pay Brock seven figures to appear so...yeah, Brock ain’t turning that down.
Getting upset about all these crazy Brock Lesnar paydays because I remember when he used to be a much better wrestler. Now he's making more money than ever and only shows up to do a bunch of German suplexes and throw some F5s. His matches against CM Punk and John Cena when he first came back were ridiculous, now it's just suplex city all match long.
