Alexa was right. Nia really is a bully.
This is atrocious.
Lmao Sami puts on glasses, and he instantly transforms into an old man.
Ladies and gentlemen, your Raw Tag Team division, minus the Gigglefreak champions and AoP who for all I know may be secretly back on NXT, moved to SD, or no longer with the company. I know it's a holiday and they always do this shit, but it's a different story when it's just a few people and a bunch of randos, rather than basically an entire division.
Chikara announced that Miyu Yamashita, Yuka Sakazki, and Shoko Nakajima of Tokyo Joshi Pro(which shares a parent company with DDT) will be competing in the King of Trios tournament.
Flipped to Smackdown, saw that Lana was out there, waiting for Naomi to take her on. Usos come for backup and I suppose they're faces now? Is it because of the Hammer Bros? Then it turns out that this is for a dance-off. Fuck this show.
Oh, and apparently Big Cass is back. Please enjoy, everybody! So sorry to all the fans that were hoping for a tv match between Samoa Joe and DB.
This SDL has been fucking amazing lmao. The dance off segment was awesome and Miz preparing for New Day by swatting away pancakes tossed at him blindfolded LOLOLOL.
EDIT: Oh come on bro. Lighten up lol. That dance off segment reeks of some shit they would've done in the attitude era. Albeit with far less clothing of course.
The only thing this show is missing is another 15 minute Carmella celebration segment. There's still time for that though.
^this. I know WWE can release some stupid ass stuff, but you gotta admit, Smackdown is back to being consistently good since the shake-up. Raw has been lacking, and the 2 carrying the show for the most part are Seth and Braun. Smackdown is fun to watch, good matches, it just feels like they’re giving it their all, and it’s currently the better product.
Alexander and Buddy Murphy just put on an amazing match. Jesus Christ!
I don't have a problem with there being comedy/variety segments at times. When you win your first match ever and qualify for potentially the most dangerous match possible, I'd just kind of expect more than just doing some dance-off the next week. If it led to a 3v3 match right there, I'd have been more or less fine with it. If that happens next week, they could have just as easily set it up on twitter. That's how they do things now, isn't it?
It's not like I'm expecting Lana to turn into some technical dynamo overnight, but considering it's not just some big tag match, or even some normal "8 pack challenge", my thought is like that scene from Bloodsport. "You have to prove to them that you can step onto the runway and not get killed." In this case, it should also be that she won't kill someone else. She's not that steady veteran hand that is there to help direct traffic/assist in big spots. At least use the little time you have to show that she has some competency rather than just being the other one that dances.
Man I don’t think there is a heel out there who gets Twitter as well as Ciampa does.
How long was Ciampa out with the knee injury? The thing that kind of shocked me was how tremendous that worked out was that his twitter account was practically the entire feud during that whole time and somehow it didn't get overdone. He wasn't twisting the knife on Gargano every other day or even every week. I only really "follow" the guy from what I see constantly posted on r/sc but it always felt like any time I was about to forget about him, it'd be that "oh, that piece of shit!" moment.
Delirium beat me to it, but yeah was about a 9 month recovery, so was just a complete and total slow burn, and I don't think they could have done it any more perfectly. I've watched wrestling since Hulk Hogan beat Slaughter for the title, and looking back (of course i'm pretty much limited to WWE for the most part, so there may have been something even better in NJPW or other indies), I don't think there's been a blood feud executed this well ever. Add in the fact both Ciampa and Gargano can go in the ring, and I can just watch the two of them beat the ever loving shit out of each other every day. I still get goosebumps at the you deserve it chant when Gargano power bombed Ciampa onto the concrete.
I got curious and was trying to see how many wrestlers i can name from that NXT mannequin challenge video from a while back. It felt so weird seeing #DIY together, and made me remember what was. Also The Revival holding those tag belts, good times.
I didn't get to see it(dont have the WWE network), but Cedric Alexander and Buddy Murphy had a great match for the title according to reports.
Adding to the women signing with WWE, Deonna Purazzo has left ROH to sign a developmental deal. Most likely she'll also be part of the MYC2.
