Adding to the women signing with WWE, Deonna Purazzo has left ROH to sign a developmental deal. Most likely she'll also be part of the MYC2.

Good for her. I followed her from when she was 'knocked out' by Asuka a few years ago in NXT . She is from NJ and I gotta support my state. She has gotten really good over time and will hopefully improve. If you want an example, check the video below where she wrestled Mayu Iwatani in the 2nd round of the WOH tournament.

Yeah if we're just being judgemental on looks, Liv Morgan could be a SUPER model if she wanted. I think she's far and away more beautiful than Alexa, but of course no one is ready for ASUKA!!!

Wrestling though, I really began to dig women's wrestling after watching 4HW NXT, Asuka/KANA, NXT Emma, and many others. But main roster women's has been so bad I feel more sorry for the athletes. I know many of them are "just happy to be here!" but to some degree many of them must feel down about their ring time and programs given to them. The women could easily do a great 1hr weekly program just like NXT.

As this point the women’s division bores me. If it’s not Charlotte or Asuka wrestling than I don’t care. I’d rather more dance offs than any of the current feuds going on.

NXT's Nixon Newell was just announced as making her Progress return next week to challenge Jinny for the Progress Women's Championship. Both of them are likely for the MYC as well. It's amazing the amount of female talent they really do have when you look at how they book the main roster women.

I agree. I know we're all kinda Haitch marks because of NXT, but the product has spoken for itself and it's Paul with his crew creating the platform for all of these talented athletes to create the magic. I'll be the first to say, I thought Roddy was the most Create-a-Wrestler ever and I was never high on O'reilly and Fish even during reDRagon (didn't watch PWG stuff). Cole was meh to I guess he's OK to me as well. In NXT and for Roddy after joining UE? Fucking dynamite, ESPECIALLY Kyle.

You look at most programs on the main roster over the last two years and you have literally a couple people that stand out and I'd bet a paycheck it isn't because the performers don't want to stand out. Ya'll see that B-Team BBQ script? JEEEEEEEEZUUUS. Bailey this is your life, The Old Day, etc etc. It's not good entertainment, period.

It goes back to the writers. You listen to every veteran, from stone cold to Bret to Jericho and everything else, everything is 100% scripted. You can’t go off the cuff anymore like the old days. Austin 3:16 would have never occurred today

Someone posted on reddit a supposed copy of the script and it was word for word the B-Team BBQ promo, to include even their physical actions lol. I think it also said something to the effect “talent is not to improvise.”

Whether it’s legit or not it’s still pretty damn funny and believable.

It's not the first script that has been posted. I want to say there was a few scripts posted before live RAW episodes and the show went as the script said it would.

Something about NJPW and how it's more of an athletic competition, there is something to be said about their promos. Right now during Best of the Super Juniors there is always a short promo done after every match. Three things stood out to me. 1) The generic "he's a good fighter and I'll have to muster all the heart I can". It's simple and generic, but when delivered correctly (see: Mustafa Ali) it's great. 2) Taguchi after his match with SHO. He was going on about how powerful SHO was and that his submission was so powerful Taguchi tapped out so hard he broke two fingers. Excellent bit which was only a few minutes and really sold SHO. 3) Naito with Hiromu. Naito would always talk about Hiromu and BUSHI and would always praise the Juniors and the tournament. To me, that's powerful.

So the night before mania my buddy and I were playing blackjack at Harrah’s and every time the table won we’d start a “Rusev day” chant. Everyone always participated, it was fun as hell.

At like 1 or 2am these 3 guys join the table and when we tried to get the Rusev Day chant going they wanted nothing to do with it. They were chill to chat with but it was weird that they wouldn’t join in a Rusev Day chant.

Then during the Andre the Giant battle royal i realized one of the dudes was Dash Wilder, so my buddy been messaging him ever since on IG, today he finally replied.

This allows the writers to decide upon a story for a month and go with it. They also can edit parts out, if they need to, to make matches and promos better. They can also tape things multiple times, should they need to, in case something gets messed up. The wrestlers can also practice their matches at the PC leading up to Takeovers.

WWE, meanwhile, changes shit week-to-week often at the whims of Vince. For example, didn't Sasha and Bayley get into a locker room brawl a few weeks ago and now they are back to sort-of-friends role?

A lot of the people, especially the women, on the main roster simply aren't good either. Asuka, for example, can get a decent match out of Dana Brooke or Nia Jax because she has done it all. Nia Jax can't get a decent match out of fucking anyone. Alexa Bliss sucks in the ring, people just want to fuck her. Same with Liv Morgan, Carmella, the Iconics, and more. Bayley has seemingly lost all confidence in herself and Sasha seems determined to cripple herself.

If you took all the people that were over in NXT before being called up and compare them to now, very few are at the same level or more over. A lot of it is do to terrible booking decisions. Also, what the fuck are they doing with AoP? Where the fuck is Sanity?

Anyone been to the UMBC Event Center in Baltimore for a wrestling show? ROH is doing a PPV there at the end of June. Tempted to make the drive down to see the show. It is headlined by Dalton Castle, vs Marty Scurll vs Cody. They also announced fucking KUSHIDA and 3 members of Oedotai(Kagetsu, Hana Kimura, and Hazuki).

I disagree with nothing you have typed. Like most things WWE, it all goes back to Vince, at least from what us internet monkeys know. As I said, I hate going back to AE and RA eras, but there can be great story writing with great in ring action. For whatever reason WWE has decided that is not the direction to go. I too hope the best for Io Shirai because after reading that piece on how heartbroken she was regarding the Kairi Sane video while in Japan, she should realize Kairi is in NXT. Wait until you get to the main roster and your purpose is to get slapped by Steph. How heartbreaking since two of these three come from that incredible feud with Pentagon Dark.

Regarding that post by Delirium about the women, I can't really disagree either. The idea of having the titles on Nia Jax and Carmella at the same time is the worst timeline. I have no idea how Rousey will do in a singles match against her, and Asuka has done fairly well with other weak talents, but I look at the latter and how many weeks are left til this PPV? Right now I have no reason to believe that Asuka will actually win the title, since "she's actually a good wrestler going against a terrible wrestler" isn't a legit reason.

On to things less, or more depressing:

I hated that BBQ crap on Raw, but the silver lining was that AOP didn't have to be in that. Why not have them come destroy it? Is it because they don't have a fucking clue what to do with AOP? Is it because Raw is lacking on lower-card tag teams that they could be tearing a part week after week? The people demand answers! I know that they slow rolled Almas and his debut. Plus he's beating nobodies/local talent now. However, what was the point of Sanity even being drafted? There's three of them. They're not just some tag team. There's a lot of things you could do with them and more creative ways than "ok guys! They're on SD now! Please enjoy their debut in 2 months!" Are they still working NXT?
