I hated that BBQ crap on Raw, but the silver lining was that AOP didn't have to be in that. Why not have them come destroy it? Is it because they don't have a fucking clue what to do with AOP? Is it because Raw is lacking on lower-card tag teams that they could be tearing a part week after week? The people demand answers! I know that they slow rolled Almas and his debut. Plus he's beating nobodies/local talent now. However, what was the point of Sanity even being drafted? There's three of them. They're not just some tag team. There's a lot of things you could do with them and more creative ways than "ok guys! They're on SD now! Please enjoy their debut in 2 months!" Are they still working NXT?

My only thought with Sanity is they want Nikki Cross up with them, but didn't want to announce her since they wanted to do Nikki vs Shayna at Takeover. This way it isn't obvious Shayna will win.

BOSJ stuff-

So, A Block finished their penultimate round yesterday or the day before (B Block just finished), so now we can look at the wacko scenarios for the finalists.

A Block - 8 points: Ishimori/Ospreay, 6 points: Flip, Yoh, Bushi, Tiger, 4 points: ACH, Kanemaru

Breakdown of the scenarios plus B Block results from now:

If one or both of Ishimori/Ospreay get points, it's pretty clear. Ishimori has the head-to-head win.

There are 4-5-6-way tie scenarios that involve both of them losing (neither will advance with a loss), and they actually favor Yoh, though Flip gets through if Tiger and Kanemaru win the other two matches. There are situations if some of those other matches end in a draw, but:

1. Bushi/Kanemaru and ACH/Tiger Mask are not going the time limit. I think double DQ gives 0 points, which could be possible for the first, but not likely.
2. A draw is basically the same as a Bushi or Tiger loss in those situations anyway.

B Block has the usual suspects up top. Hiromu/Kushida/Marty are all 2 points clear of the rest, and with two of them in a match, the rest are out of the running.

Marty can only advance if Kushida/Hiromu ends in a draw and he wins. Once he lost to both of them, it was clear they'd set it up this way. The problem with Marty is that he's a co-champ with people who are scheduled to go after another title at Dominion. I'd be fine with a curveball too, but I don't know if that makes a ton of sense because BC is largely unbooked for Dominion. There could be some 8 or 10man tag, basically throwing the Tongans + Ishimori and/or Chase/Yujiro against whatever, but that still leaves out those scalawags Cody and Hangman who could easily make a trios team with Marty.

There's such imbalance with CHAOS holding so many titles that it's a struggle to get a random trio together, but I expect that we may get things more leveled out by the end of Dominion or a big shift to another faction with a ridiculous % of members holding gold.

Last 4 matches (Ospreay/Flip, Ishimori/Yoh, Marty/Sho, Hiromu/Kushida) all worth checking out. Nothing announced on the rest of the card for the finals, but that'll probably be announced late this evening or at the start of the show.

Honma announced his return for June 23.

No kidding. That wasn't even a situation where he gets hurt > gets surgery > spends 8-12 months rehabbing. Dude was in the hospital for like 3 months with a spinal injury or whatever. I don't know what to expect he'll do. Maybe it'll light a fire under Makabe's ass. He's regularly been teaming with Henare since WTL, but maybe make the three of them a team for the 6-man titles.

They hadn't even tried to half-ass a build for a 6-man title match, so I'm not overly surprised. I guess they might just do more of the big tag matches at Dominion then. Marty and Tanahashi being in that match is a bit unexpected, but people keep wanting/expecting Marty to be the one to face Mysterio, so I guess this may be the way to work towards that.

Okada's lazy ass is actually going to have a match? What, did he catch all the fish in the world already? I'm not going to read too much into him facing Ibushi here in that tag match, since he + Chase seem to be basically Omega by proxy.
