Pokemon Go (II): Network Error

Always seems to be a few weeks after I use a bunch of rare candy on something to evolve it that there's a community day for that same pokemon shortly after. I'm just like, well, this pokemon's super rare and they'd never have a community day for this! Bam.

Also, hated that Torchic day was on Sunday this week. I was at a convention this weekend and if it was a saturday, I would have been out all day, but Sunday, it literally started right as I was leaving the parking garage and the food place we stopped at on the way home had 0 pokemon spawn at it, which was really fucking weird because it was a Portillo's and those always have stops and lots of spawns.

I doubt they'd so randomly and out of the blue add special effects, but i'll ask anyway. Does yawn do anything special or just a regular attack? Seems like an odd move to give for just damage.

Cross posting this with the Pokemon Sleep thread as it about a new functionality for PoGo in 2020 and the inspiration for the current event.

Soon, Trainers will be able to wake up with Pokémon every morning with Pokémon Sleep, a mobile app from The Pokémon Company. Pokémon Sleep aims to turn sleeping into entertainment by having a player’s time spent sleeping, and the time they wake up, effect the gameplay. While more details about the app’s functionality will be revealed at a later date, it was announced that a new device from Nintendo, Pokémon GO Plus +, will connect to Pokémon Sleep and launch with the app. The device will use an embedded accelerometer to track a user’s time sleeping and send this information to their smartphone via Bluetooth. This new device also has the same functions as the original Pokémon GO Plus, so Trainers can use it with Pokémon GO during the day and with Pokémon Sleep at night. Trainers can look forward to Pokémon Sleep launching for mobile devices in 2020. To celebrate this early look at Pokémon Sleep, Trainers around the world will have the chance to encounter Snorlax that are lying down and deep in sleep in Pokémon GO beginning today.

Fyi, sometime last night or this morning they added a notification button for adventure sync and it also shut off my adventure sync and I had to turn it back on.

The new quest line apparently ends up rewarding you with enough candies and a dratini to get you to Dragonite. Also a shiny eevee is a reward for one as well.

I got 1 2 days ago. Cant hate on getting a shiny, but it's the pokemon I think I hate the most in the game thanks to its model in Go.
