Beat Giovanni for the 2nd time tonight. It’s pretty laughable how easy he is compared to Arlo and Sierra. In terms of difficulty I would rank them:

Arlo the hardest by a wide margin
Sierra slightly harder/easier than Giovanni depending on her 2nd or 3rd choice

I've only fought 2 of the team rocket bosses. Fought Cliff, beat his meowth and then lost all 3 of my team to his next pokemon- which I forgot what it was, and then the next time I fought Sierra and beat her first try. My Tyranitar killed her sneasel and did 50% of lapras, then metagross finished off lapras and then one-shot her Gardevior with Meteor Mash. my 3rd pokemon didn't even get to come out.

Giovanni is easier because he will always start with Persian, then use 1 of 3 ground types, then whatever Legendary it is of the month. So you already know 2/3 of his choices for certain so just use a strong water type to counter his second ‘mon and you got him. A Swampert with Mud Shot/Hydro Cannon can possibly solo him.

I'm enjoying the buddy system but holy shit does the AR+ interactions drain my phone battery insanely fast.

Did a bunch of raids this weekend, got shiny Lugia so that was p cool. Legendary catch rates remain total bullshit though. One I had 8 golden raz excellent throws and he broke them all.

When Niantic announced they were changing what pokemon you could find from hatching eggs, they didn't mention that they also removed 90 species from the loot pool.

I’ve only twice ever since Pokemon Go has been released gotten the 50k in a week so I don’t think that will happen often for me.

The new event research task “hatch 7 eggs” rewards a Lapras encounter with a chance for shiny, if that interests anyone.

The only time I hit the 50k/a week was when I had a 45min drive to work, the majority on backroads so I cheated out 5 to 15k a day by just shaking my phone while I drove- which even just touching your phone while driving in Illinois in 2020 is illegal, but I also only have a 9 min commute now anyway.
