Niantic is rolling out a monthly sub ($4.99) in Ingress to get enhanced and expanded features. Like most other features and mechanics in their games, Ingress is used as the test app before rolling it out to Pokemon or Harry Potter.

Glad I went so far out of my way to catch so many fire types to complete the quest whose reward was a Tauros... I mean, I should have expected it given year of the ox and all, but still... woulda been a great time to use Bouffalant.
Ugh regional Pokémon. They’d be better if you could get them from friend eggs who are from that region.

They made it take a fraction of a bit slower to get in and out of the Pokémon capture screen. At least it currently does for me. Fades into the screen slower and then it gives you a white fade-out animation getting out of you back out.

Yeah apparently the flashing was causing issues for epileptic people so they slowed it down significantly

Wish it was something you could toggle off. I'd be fine to have it on by default but it bothers me more than it should.
