PP is not one of the 5 in the pass it looks like. Free if you buy the game before the end of January basically. I think Mewtwo was a similar deal in Smash4? Or one of the characters anyways.

Yeah most season pass of anything are that. You pay in advance and know nothing. Sometimes they'll give hints or reveal names of dlc like Fallout did but a lot of nothing for months. While I do wish they did some characters, I find all these humorous honestly lol.

Street Fighter 5's season 3 pass revealing everyone right away was an exception. The norm is usually not knowing anyone, maybe the first if you're lucky.

Ive gone through the video twice now and can't see Geno anywhere in Spirits. If that was where he was going to be relegated to as a non fighter, that would be where. Shantae, Dixie Kong, Chibi Robo, Rex (and honestly by extension, Elma), Shadow, Springman, and Ribbon Girl are all deconfirmed.

Isaac is lost, forever, under a metric fuckton of salt.

I'm saying no Elma, because if Rex gets a Mii Fighter costume because he was "too late" to the development party, Elma I don't view as strong enough to be DLC. If we view the DLC fighters as a necessity in being DLC for their inclusion (i.e. they want the money), this gives Square and Microsoft a potential payday with 2 slots left for Nintendo to pile it on.

My thinking:

Banjo Kazooie
Skull Kid

Additions like Protoman, Birdo, Bandana Dee, etc. are better off in a DLC pack which we aren't having here. I can see a FE: Three Houses lord getting a slot, but thats a little bit of a risk for a new character that people may not like. I can see Rayman getting Ubisoft some love, but after that it seems like the options are slim and slimmer to be legit worth the 6 bucks.

And I am having a real hard time on four and five. Someone like Protoman would be great, but I don't see that being a big DLC seller (along the same lines as other mid-tier 1st party entries).

I played a lot of project M, this is not the biggest smash ever lol. She's one of the only ones I haven't already played some form of and I'm a Splatoon player, she's the only anchor I have to this game. That and seeing how they balance Ridley since no one else ever has been able to.

Well...I think because it's only free for a limited time as a "it's not going to make the base game release window" offer. Not that you only can get him a limited time.

Can't say I wasn't a bit shocked. It really looked like Sakurai and Co. were really going all in on the wishlist characters.
