Something a little interesting noticed over at Reddit's Smash board.

The recently uploaded unlisted track (Super Mario 3 Boss Theme) for Smash has a transition at the very end that is new when compared to previous versions of the song, both in Mario titles and in Smash itself.

The transition is unique to Mario RPG's "Fight Against Koopa" track.

Not much to get excited about, but with the recent embargo lift confirming there are around 700 spirits in the game (and 600 have been shown or mentioned), the confirmation that the Geno token shown in the last direct is indeed different from Spirits, and now at least some Mario RPG music rights have been negotiated, there is a little bit of hope.
