WoL spoilers?
Spoiler: show
Anyone else getting randomly destroyed by Challengers when unlocking characters? It's not a big deal with challengers approach and all, but it's just kinda weird how maybe half of the chars I fight end up beating me lol. Bowser actually managed to kill me with 0% damage done to him. Never had this issue in older Smash games.
Depends on when you meet them it feels like. They're not overly hard but it feels like the longer in you unlock them/when you unlock them it seems to scale their AI a bit, similar to WoL how some of the earlier unlocks are pretty easy but further in you get sometimes they're a tiny challenge.
AI is an input reading fuck, so occasionally they just pop off and you have to back the fuck up.
Yeah most of my losses to challengers have come from AI getting in a quick round of hits in and me being too stubborn to not back off.
Spoiler: show
the challengers are confirmed cheaters for sure. and then the rematches are either a) cheating again or b) handicapped monkeys with banana for brains. there is no in-between.
my first fight with Incineroar as a challenger was like "juggle juggle juggle you're dead"![]()
cloud was one of my last as well. well... he's still chilling in Challenger's Approach if I'm being honest >.>
1) Grab the materia on Cloud's stage.
2) ???
3) Profit
Little Mac shield broke me and KO punched me in like 20 seconds. My friend got 0%'d by Ike which we all thought was hilarious.
Also, Wolf's down throw > side B kill confirm is so fucking satisfying and holy shit do I kill myself a lot going for it.
10 fighters to go, Cloud is one of them #angry
So any guides to getting gud?
Cloud was my last fighter actually… RNG is RNG huh? <.<
I thought I was done, and then exited WoL and there he was, and I was all; "oh yeah... that guy".
Zer0 has a basics guide on his channel. I recommend looking at his matches too. This weekend will be a tournament on twitch, can verify which tournaments are coming up on smash.gg
You always wanna follow Vgbootcamp’s twitch channel since they have weekly ranbats on tuesdays, tournaments are a great way to get ideas of how not only people play, but maybe you’ll see someone that mains your character. It’s great to study such players. The big tournament is going to be Genesis, which is feb 1-3.
Zero is a good stepping stone but he is stretching his opinions pretty far on what's top tierfavoritism is cruel.
