It is a little interesting, if Sakurai is being 100% honest, how easy and welcoming Microsoft and Rare were in terms of including Banjo. It sounds like MS offered the rights for Nintendo to use instead of Nintendo badgering over a payday.

This was another fighter that I received a lot of requests for – mostly from overseas. That being said, King K. Rool and Ridley were pretty fervently requested too. And as I continue to grant these requests, I can only see a future where there’s even more of them!

Please be intentionally trolling Sakurai. I know you know we still want "him" included. Bring him home.

So, from what I gather, Ally was potentially closeted or semi openly gay. He "dated" CaptainZack when Zack was younger (16) but neither side seems to be claiming anything unseemly or non-consensual occurred.

It seems the bigger issue was Ally potentially lying on an official court record about the relationship when dealing with the previous issue over his then girlfriend.

Trying to find a polite way to say that Ally, at 30, dating a 16 year old is far from "okay" but if neither party is calling foul on being abused or taken advantage of, why is it becoming anyones business other than their own? Something else is happening here.

Discussion about the pair emerged in March when Tamim “Mistake” Omary, another Smash player, used Twitter to claim Carroza-Oyarce had at one point been in a relationship with Zack “CaptainZack” Lauth, the young Bayonetta main who frequently makes headlines thanks to his in-game skill and outlandish personality. Omary’s allegations—which have since been deleted— included screenshots from Discord in which Carroza-Oyarce appeared to admit to the relationship, but Carroze-Oyarce would go on to deny the charges altogether. For his part, Lauth remained mostly silent, only saying that “nothing ever happened” between himself and Carroza-Oyarce when asked publicly if they had slept together.

Basically a callout towards another member of the community being involved with an underage player. Vikram “Nightmare” Singh was the previous incident where when he was 23, he was involved sexually with a 15 yr old player.

So Hero looks to be a cross between Robin and Marth with spell use and the potential critical hits sounding like Marth's sweet spot.

I know i'm going to kick myself at some point for being critical of Sakurai, but I think they put a little too much nostalgia into the unit. The random Down B will be tough to navigate and has some potentially gamebreaking moves if you get lucky.

I love the unit overall, just feel like they could have toned down the "add-in" references to DQ by maybe a third and it would have been just as awesome.

You can tell Sakurai just pours his soul into this stuff though. The laughter in the background and some of his comments and facial expressions just bring that home. They had fun doing this format I think.

To be fair, he isn't the only one. There are some things to sort out for competitive play like the language displays and how the random abilities work (all set % chance, scaling with current HP/Rage, etc).

Bit of a knee-jerk, since we don't know how often the stronger moves can appear. Some just don't work in a competitive sense (Snooze honestly is terrible for non 2v2 matches). And there are ways around Hero camping with Heal/MP Regen.

Theres a lot that we can see that LOOKS not great but I feel like much with G&W Judge, Ice Climbers wobbling, Pichu shenanigans, it will end up banalcing itself pretty hard when its thrust into general play with 70+ other character quirks.

Remember how broken K. Rool was at first with cannonballs and counter? Just give it practical time.

Sabi's NoA source apparently posted a self taken picture of a starling bird with the notion that there is an announcement of some type coming soon.

Evo starts this weekend. Sabi's source generally does this over a 2-3 week span, and the end of Evo, where Smash is headlining, would end week 3 since he posted a hint a few weeks ago before this one.

Worth noting that Geno's Mii costume is still missing, and today would have been a prime time to announce it during Hero.
