The direct tomorrow could potentially be loaded with hidden gems. Soraya Saga retweeted the direct, which never happens unless theres Monolith news. Few reports have a hidden IP or two that Nintendo has been tight lipped on. We still have the dozen+ SKU's Gamestop added 2 weeks ago. Not to mention news on Metroid, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, or anything else thats been tucked away.

I keep seeing "SNK" a lot today in regards to the smash leaks or whatever. Uh... can someone fill me in on what that stands for? That's not a name/acronym I'm familiar with. Based on the various screenshots I've seen, it's your standard 1v1 fighting game, and I've never really been interested in those, which might explain why I'm not familiar with it.

After some Googling, I found a game publisher (or developer, whatever, idk), but it doesn't look like a specific game. SNK is apparently just an abbreviation for some Japanese name, so I can see why no one cares to spell that out. If that is what people mean by SNK... why is this particular character defined by their publisher/developer and not a specific game or series?

I think SNK stands for Shin Nihon Keikaku. New Japan Plan or somesuch in moonspeak. They were HUGE arcade hardware people and marginally involved in home consoles with the Neo Geo. Known mostly for fighting games (Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, Samurai Showdown) but also developed Metal Slug. Very similar to Sega during their console + software development days.

Terry was the "main guy" in Fatal Fury. Or at least one of the most popular ones.

I'd say it's pretty likely we get female Terry as well considering SNK heroines was primarily marketed as a switch game despite also being on ps4.
