Huh weird. Back when I did emulators I thought it ran fine for me on SNES 9x.

It depends on the version of 9x you use. Older versions run it totally fine (like the 2005 core in retroarch), but some of the more modern releases have slowdown issues with SMRPG specifically for some reason. Idk if it was ever fixed.

ZSNES had similar version specific issues with this game.

There is a very small tiny part of me wondering if Reggie is involved with all of this. He would be smart enough to include the Fire Emblem line as a company response, and also a willing participant if Sakurai wanted to troll everyone hardcore.

Few different people reporting that the Geno line has been cut from the video that plays in Gamestop stores. I may go down to one or two of the ones nearby to confirm.

Best thinking now, based on insiders who really only talk when something is near 100% (like King Zell) is that it is either a full direct that will be announced on Monday and air Wednesday, or a mini direct that will air on Monday. Highly thought to be majority Mario centric, essentially the E3 chunk of whatever they had planned for Mario 35th Anniversary.

Even with all of the insiders saying this and that, Nintendo is the one company I've long since given up on trying to read.

They'll do something on a particular date at a particular time, and it'll probably be a bit goofy and a bit underwhelming. On the odd occasion, they do something hilariously badass.
