Just for the video. The only music coming with Seph is all FF7 tracks. Which is even more irksome to me quite honestly.

Too much effort to throw us some Antipyretic, Battle on the Big Bridge, or Dancing Mad. But hey, heres some FF7 stuff because thats the only thing we care about because of the $$$.

Exactly.

Even Hero (who is technically Enix and 4 characters) came with tracks from across the series, not just DQXI.

It's SE being the jagoffs here. I don't think it would be difficult for any other company to recognize their legacy in a legacy recognizing game like Smash, but for SE apparently, it is.

There is the slice for everything musically needed for FF7. Toss in an arranged Big Bridge, midi Dancing Mad, and then the original renditions of Vamo'alla Flamenco and Liberi Fatali (both would be PERFECT Smash songs). There are your seven tracks, giving the whole series better representation.

It's also a bit odd to me that they're not doing the English VA for Sephiroth at all. Was he just too expensive?

Id say no english VA for Seph was due to expense, but yeah it is likely just to match Cloud not having an english VA (which originally probably was a cost saving move by SE).

Believe so, but it was that way for pass 1 too before the 2nd was announced. Imagine it comes down to how much they're earning, but Smash still gets plenty of press and hype, feels like it'd be silly to stop.
