I guess I don't see the guaranteed check against Tom Holland being the most successful Spiderman Sony has had. Push has come to shove, and I would be willing to bet that some pressure from Holland, public or private, would go a long way.

If money is Sony's bottom line, they're making hand over fist more with Marvel than they are without for these titles. Not hard to understand.

Except Sony hasn't been able to pull off a live action Spider-Man at the quality of spiderverse since the second one. It's been progressively downhill ever since, and while venom was a good dumb summer flick, it's still really not even in the average Spiderman film range. Disney/Marvel saved that franchise from turning into the next fantastic 4 level.of failure.
