I can kind of see the logic I guess, Donaldson has much better numbers against Robertson than Smoak does. At the same time, JD struggled all spring and is currently batting with a dead arm. Probably didn't have a great choice either way honestly. I would have taken my chances with JD though because at least if he launched you it was one less run on the board.

Right. I'd get it if he was apex JD right now. At the least I'd think you tell Robertson to pitch him carefully, no big deal if you walk him, as opposed to IBB. At least see if he'll chase a pitch out of the zone first

Oh god, only took a few games before "unwritten rules" came up in the dumbest way possible

Chance Sisco for the Orioles bunted down the 3rd base line against the shift for an easy hit, 9th inning down 7-0. The orioles would load the bases but end up losing 7-0.

Now some of the twins are complaining about the bunt. Ugh, please gtfo. This one isn't even a debate.

Why would the Twins shift their defense in that situation? If you dont want someone to bunt, dont shift your infielders.
