To put some context on this, it takes a LOT to convince a judge there is ever probable cause to search an attorney's files. So whatever they are looking for, there is some compelling evidence that Cohen has it.

I admit that I would be mildly worried by an FBI takedown of a political party's finance chair .... if they had not pursued the most defensible process imaginable ... and the finance chair wasn't a lawyer sleazeball with plenty of rich friends who will doubtlessly pay more competent lawyers to defend him.



This is one of those points where I just have to admit that I don't know what I don't know about what the investigation is going to bring.
