I honestly can't even fathom how anyone would be okay with this. I mean, even if you're okay with separating them temporarily, we're basically stealing their kids. And for what? I'm willing to bet the same people who want these people deported also don't want taxpayer dollars paying to take care of the kids. The worst will be when we inevitably hear a story about one of these parents that were deported, dying trying to make it back to the U.S. to find their kid.

I’m starting to think this is going to be a real powder keg moment for this administration. More than all of his other fuckups, this one seems to be a real ignition point. Like, cost them the Senate type of ignition. It doesn’t even have majority approval among Republicans.

The real play here for trump is to use this to clean house at the DOJ, shit on sessions’ “zero tolerance” policy, effectively end the Russia probe under the guise of Sessions being a monstrous racist, and collect his $200 as he passes go.
