My boss is a strange case. He's really good to us. Never yells or does stupid shit like throw things or have an attitude because of out of work things. He is good to customers and is known and respected in the community. But he'll say things like above, calls the NBA in it's entirety a league of criminals and thugs, and other things that would classify probably as insensitive and/or racist (at a high school basketball game he described the opposing team's cheerleaders routine as doing a "jungle dance" that was embarrassing to see).

He genuinely feels Trump is a warrior who stands up for things others are to scared to and he will bring America back to prominence because he's not afraid to say and do what past presidents wouldn't do. And my coworkers are parrots who just nod and say whatever he says regarding any and everything. I feel like I'm Will Ferrell in that I'm taking crazy pills.

it is pretty wild the party that openly and ardently espouses the teachings of Christ is the only demographic in the country OK with dehumanizing Hispanics to the point they can defend traumatizing children by breaking up their family unit. i'm not the most qualified to answer the old WWJD query, but probably not this.

White: 73.87%
Black: 19.70%
Hispanic/Latino: 4.05%
Asian: 0.51%
Pacific Islander: 0.04%
Two or more races: 3.67%

People of his level in our company regarding our region are all white. In our city, all of my peers for my specific company are all white.

I have no doubt in my mind if we had a person of any other ethnicity in our office things that get said now would stop. And I agree, it's the leaders fault.

I don't disagree with you, but there is more to it. Maybe should've said more. For instance, his youngest just graduations high school. The food was provided by a group of Mexicans from his church. He has nothing but nice to say (yeah yeah I know why). He also talked about how his youngest dated a very beautiful Hispanic girl. He also knows my wife is Filipino and is very nice to her. Yeah things could be said behind closed doors and probably are.

I guess my point is I just can't understand acting like that. I probably am thinking too hard about it and the simple fact is he's a racist where he sees fit or something. I just don't understand that mentality.

I recently drove from San Antonio to Arkansas and there is miles and miles of land not being used. I've also seen storage buildings being built all over the place. So we are fucking building storage buildings so people can store shit they don't fucking need, and land not being used, and have actual living human beings with no place to go? WTF

Awhile back when Trump started the entire no fly for certain people my wife and I had a very real conversation. My wife next year has to apply for citizenship (she had her green card before we met). She came to me asking what we will do if she is not accepted. I told her we'll cross that bridge when we reach it.

I try not to read the news and look at these threads because of the negativity and what not. I know that may be viewed as me being stupid and putting my head in the sand. With this recent event regarding the kids it has made me think about our future and what may happen to my wife. I have no ties besides my best friend of 16 years and would have no problem moving just about anywhere. It's crazy to think that may happen.
