I'm kinda surprised Trump is backing off this child separation policy so quickly - although it is pitch perfect Trump Train to do it AFTER having all of his mouthpieces spend the entire past week vociferously defending the policy.
I'm reading that it's not really ending it, just giving the impression that it will. Instead certain civil penalties are being shifted to criminal to speed up the process of prosecution so they can hold them as a family. Then prosecute the parents and separate again.
So, if this true (and looks like it is based on fact), will it cross the line for some people now?

Seems they are drugging kids so they will behave. Just wrong on so many levels.Children held at Shiloh Treatment Center, a government contractor south of Houston that houses immigrant minors, described being held down and injected, according to the federal court filings. The lawsuit alleges that children were told they would not be released or see their parents unless they took medication and that they only were receiving vitamins.
I really don't get it, either.
It's interesting, for me personally, to see this wide divide in thinking for those within the Catholic Church. I know it's really just ignorance is bliss in my case. Growing up, Catholics were all progressive and non-judgmental, and all about good works, etc. etc. and so it's always a bit of a shock how the same religious sect can be soooo different.
Especially a sect where we have a world guide if you will who has been condemning these actions.
Curious if you've ever brought up the statements by the Pope to see what your boss says about it.
Packer MAGAs...
I was looking for another source and found the same article word-for-word.

My boss is set in his ways about his views and work. I one time questioned something that absolutely should've been questioned and I was sent home for the day because it didn't jive with what he thought was right. I just let most of it roll off my shoulders. I have a great schedule and I get paid decent. No sense in throwing it away until my wife and I can make some better moves.
Something I notice with conservatives is that many times things just disconnect and dissociate when it comes to government/politics.
Like you can have someone who is extremely involved in their community -- homeless shelter, charitable donations, etc. -- and they believe whole-heartedly in the abstract concept that humans have moral and ethical duties to one another and our most vulnerable. But that duty just hits a brick wall when it comes to government. And if certain people are more disadvantaged than others and they shed no tears merely because they don't think anything can be done (people make it that way so things can't change until people change and it's not the government's job, etc.)
For older ones sometimes I identify it as fear of the communism/socialism boogeyman, being literally programmed to think that any good intention-ed government attempt to minister for the social good WILL inevitably end in starvation. I imagine for ones born past 1980 their parents just filled in for McCarthy
Ah yes, we have an excellent history in recent years of holding government-sanctioned abusers legally accountable.
You know, one way to assure citizens that this kind of abuse is not happening would be, I don't know, for the government to provide access and documentation ensuring their physical and mental well-being aside from the obvious psychological trauma of being forcibly separated from their parents with no system of reunification.
doctors and lawyers have been in these camps. And for this to be happening, a lot of people have to be involved and knowingly doing very shitty things that violate a lot of laws including doctors, pharmacists, low-paid medical technicians or nurses, etc. Private sector individuals with much more to lose than to gain.
Oh, forgot to mention this but it's more for the lols. My boss also thinks only gays would use a bidet and any culture/country that uses or has them is weird. I'm like, brother, bidet is an awesome thing to have!

Trump in MN live blog. Some great photos of his local base, the arena that the rally is being held in lost power (along with the surrounding area), & rally organizers are asking attendees to snitch on protesters in attendance.
I've been told by some supporters that this is all blown out of proportion and that of over 13,000 children separated 90%+ of them are unaccompanied trafficking victims "rescued" by the administration. I cannot find any numbers to substantiate these claims.

Trump to walk out to The Village People's Macho Man.
DHS's statistics strongly disagree.

0.61% of "family units" apprehended are suspected of not being related (potential smuggler situations).
