I wish I could like her. I appreciate her spunk, and she has done things that show she has a brain in her head that can be separated from the R next to her name (ie. confederate flag removal)

But I can't be ignorant to the fact that many of her policies are still very very modern-day R.

She is against gay marriage.
She was vehemently against Obamacare.
She wants to get rid of medicaid.
Is staunchly pro life.
Wants to dismantle public schools in favor of charter schools.
Supports offshore drilling.

etc. etc.


So yeah, would I have loved her over most (if not all) the other R-candidates during the last election? Yep.

Would I have voted for her in the pres race over Hillary? Nah.

Oh don't get me wrong she is a terrible person from a policy perspective. I mean, the fact that she had enough credit with Donald Trump to get appointed to the UN tells you everything you need to know.

That said, all the problems you raised are wrapped up in the R. Democrats won't vote for her because she supports terrible policies and Republicans won't make her the leading lady of their next terrible policy push because she is a woman.
