Entitlement spending is A problem, primarily because we implement all of our programs in the dumbest way possible.
Bush Tax cuts (which were not all made permanent) were also A problem.
Iraqistan and the ensuing multinational antiterrorism effort + associated support bloat is A problem. AG makes the point that spending on Iraqistan has dropped, but I would go further argue that those conflicts were actually relatively cheap. If you look at a chart of in military spending and draw a line between 2001 and 2012 and assume everything above the line is spent on the conflicts, you will see they cost maybe 2 trillion dollars. That is a lot of money, but it is dwarfed by the ~10 trillion below the line. Consultants estimate a third of that is wasted, which would be three random incursions in the middle east.
Our problem isn't the services we offer or our national security #squadgoals or our progressive tax policies. The problem is that we do everything in the dumbest way and our beaurocracy trips over itself to trip over itself.
We are really good at spending money and really bad at nearly everything else.

Pruitt next. WH officials want him out despite Trump still holding a fond opinion of his work.
These motherfuckas are spending 30-70k on fucking dining tables. How is the “fiscally conservative” base not losing their fucking minds over this?
Owning libs, that's how.
Alternately, Hillary would be worse.

Fox News calls out Pruitt on his bullshit. Pruitt is shocked, naturally.
