McCain is an old kind of slimy politician who has some moral scruples but frequently compromises on them in order to keep his party/base happy. However, for a Republican in 2018, he's great.

He should have retired a decade ago when it became obvious that his life experience was increasingly irrelevant to the American experience, but I am glad he didn't because he doubtlessly would have been replaced by a Paul Ryan-esque Republican and Obamacare would be repealed right now.
