The best / worst part was how much Florida, Lumbus and Minnesota fucked up to help make Vegas such a strong team in their expansion year.

These are disastrous moves. Those 3 GM's should be fired for making such terrible moves. Well the Wild GM did get canned lol.

You can add the Caps to that list for not protecting Nate Schmidt and then trading away MoJo for trash picks to NJ. Give up a Top 4 puck moving Dman, to protect a Top 6 forward you are trading for shit anyways just to clear cap and keep Brooks Orpik around. Maybe they didn't help Vegas as much as others but they both screwed themselves and helped two other teams out in the process.

At least with Karlsson, it's been a huge shock at his out of nowhere breakout season. As well as Haula to a lesser extent, and some thought March had a fluke season last year but obv not, and the Panthers were dumping Smith's contract so they had to give something away, which in hindsight was an awful choice.

These were some fucking TERRIBLE moves. "If you take this 75 point player off our hands, we'll give you an additional 60 point player and a fourth round pick". Obviously you cant transcribe points and presume it would carry over to their original team...but presuming in this fantasy world it works that way:
March would be 2nd in total pts on the Panthers
Smith would be 4th in total pts, 2nd in P/GP (missed 20ish games) on the Panthers
Tuch would be 7th in total pts on the Wild
Haula would be 4th in total pts, 3rd in goals, on the Wild
Karlsson would be 2nd in total pts on Lumbus. Karlsson has almost as many points as Lumbus's #1C and #2C COMBINED.

Columbus is what it is. Nobody could have expected Karlsson to have the season he did. I mean for fuck's sake the guy had a 23.4 shooting percentage during the regular season. That is absolutely unsustainable.
