You probably dont follow Habs media so much, but after he was traded, there was this massive witch hunt to justify Bergevin's actions. AFTER the trade, they were trying to attack PK by saying he "was constantly late from / missing practice", yet there was not a peep about him being late / missing practice while he was a Hab. The Habs get better media coverage for their practices than small/mid market teams get for their actual games, and not once was there a peep about PK missing practice ever. But all of a sudden, "PK misses practice or is late all the time". Bullshit. There was also stories about how PK would be a complete dick to people unless there were cameras around.

As far as Price's contract, its really not the end of the world. Goalies can maintain their prime with minimal deviance well into their late 30's. At age 37, Brodeur posted a .916 (10th among goalies who started 50+ games) / 2.24 (2nd), started in 76 games (probably too much, lets be honest), and was 3rd for the Vezina. And before you say "But Price isnt Brodeur"...yeah, he isnt Brodeur, but "Price sucked in 2018" isnt really a viable argument against Price being an elite goaltender who can provide solid goaltending until his late 30's.
