Tom Wilson suspended 3 games
Both the ZAR hit and the Wennberg hit he left his feet/drove through though, so yes those are dirty hits. I disagree on the Dumou hit tho because Dumo shifted his head/body a fraction of a second before contact and completely changed the angle of the hit.
You haven't actually watched him play all year, so I'll give you and most everyone a pass on not realizing he is a good two way Top 6 player now. He doesn't put up points in droves yet but he does literally everything else very well and drives possession with anyone he is on the ice with. He also has almost no PP time, so 98% of his points, are EV. You can look up his adv stats though and see that he is in fact, a quality top 6 player now.
3 games would be fine if that was normal for the NHL but they are just panicking and trying to save face.
Agreed. 3 games is stunning.
my internet is kinda shit right now, I actually tried to make that previous post like an hour ago and it just now posted, with my edit on the 3 games, so who knows when this will post.
So the best I can do atm, is post up an article by a Caps blogs but they list some stats to show it. While watching Tom though, it's clear his hustle and board play helps give Ovi/Kuzy more ice to play with and keep the puck.

Lets not forget the league penalizes by injury. If ZAR isnt concust and no broken jaw, good guy Tom gets off scott free.
Kucherov with blatant high stick on Chara and no call. I know we say this literally every post season, but this is the worst officiating I've ever seen. And it's been bad from the word go.
So going further into the advanced stats I found that Wilson is actually at a 50.1% CF at even strength. So he's a tenth of a percent into the black. But into the black regardless. All possession totaled up he's at 46.8. Which that disparity can be explained with the PK etc.
The severity of the injury is probably what decided the 3-game length ultimately. Broken jaw+concussion together is pretty heavy
3-0 Shraks. Looks like post season Fleury is finally showing up. Still amazed it took till game 3 to score an even strength goal this series.
Brian Burke on CBC panel is cringeworthy.
"These picks are dangerous, when you hit a player with your hip and you're not expecting it, you dont brace for it and you can get seriously injured"...or some shit like that
I get it, picks are against the rules in hockey because its interference, but the guys acting like people have had their careers cut short due to picks.
LET'S GO CAPS!
Top line DSP makes me sad, I wanted Stephensen on the 1st, and Vrana on the 2nd in his place.
Gersich playing is nice though.
Never count out good guy tom
