Curious question, what age/grade did people here have Sex Ed in?
Ours started in grade 5, but then it always blows me away to hear about random places like "I didn't even know how to spell vajiner til I was 17!" type lack of learning.

Grade 8, and it was poorly taught.
Started in 5th grade and I went to Catholic school. So they only taught abstinence and calendar planning, but we did learn how babies were made.

Grade 6
But they are also correct in that the data skews for all forms of abuse. Even though parents were responsible for the majority of reported abuses, sexual abuse crimes accounted for only 10% of reports of abuse without cross reference.
The sad thing is many cases go unreported, and pediatricians still tell kids only doctors and parents should be looking at or touching their private areas.
Which means AG is overall the most correct.
4th grade. No Karens were there to ruin it.
8th grade here
My guy, thats all child abuse and neglect, not just sexual. Page # references PDF page, not actual page.
Page 36: "For FFY 2021, 51 states reported 588,229 victims of child abuse and neglect"
Page 60 shows the total 588,229 victims, and breaks down what the maltreatment types. There were 59,328 reported counts of sexual abuse.
The page 62 you're referencing doesnt have data from all 558,229 victims, but it also sites that its based on data from 48 states.
10th grade, with a grand total of an hour of a very uncomfortable PE coach that was our health teacher. half of that hour was us watching a film that tried it's best to be serious but was so earnest it was hilarious, while my dude sat in his office, sweating.
not a joke.
I was in FL for 5-7th so nothing there. Moved to MA in 8th grade and they were already having it the previous year
We had a one day "this is puberty" thing in 5th grade. Maybe it was two days, but that's about it. Then middle school, I forget if 6th or 8th, had a full health/sex ed course and then 9th grade had a similar as the 'classroom' side of gym class with health/sex ed. Both times it was MOSTLY health, but there was a sex ed section.
i went to public school in the US so i never had sex education
9th or 10th grade is when it was taught to me in FL but I had already taken it years earlier in some summer camp thing I did in Philly.
5th and 8th and 10th IIRC
I gave a book report on STDs and safe sex in my English class in 5th grade. I even had a quiz at the end and gave away Hot cheetos and clear fruit for the right answers.
is clear fruit what they call white gays now
I have memories of learning about sex formally in 6th grade, can't recall any earlier classes than that. I was aware of, and talking about, sex by 1st grade though. I still have vivid memories of that moment in the men's room where Im talking to my friends by the urinal and we have no idea WTF it is but it's spelled sax and adults do it lmao

Fourth grade. It was more about puberty and the changes that go along with it. Sex ed was probably 6th-8th grade.
