Ain't nobody going to Mastodon. Meta/Facebook is launching their alternative later this week and that'll probably take over if Elon doesn't pull his head out of his ass.

Twitter isn't being indexed on Google anymore which is going to absolutely kill whatever advertiser revenue they still have

Most Mastodon instances are still incapable of fetching feeds from other instances in a timely manner with its current population. Twitter ain't going anywhere unless it breaks to the point that people can't use it for more than a week every single month.

We'll see then; I knew about Mastodon, didn't know so much about the FB alternative to Twitter. But Twitter is proly starting to die; I give it 1-5 years before Twitter goes to the net graveyard of sites. (Some may figure it's going to die sooner, but stranger things have happened.)

Guess there wasn't a spike in accounts being created after it was done. 20 bucks he thought people would create accounts just to look at random shit every now and then. This is the reason i don't have a Pinterest or insta account either. Not going to create a fucking account just to look at a random post every now and then.
