The great thing i can say about Facebook is that I could deactivate my account, but still keep Messenger active. Otherwise, what's app or discord was the only other thing i would bother using.

Twitter was interesting because it was a bunch of people being professional dicks to each other. FB version of it is going to fail if you can pivot from one of their platforms to another and there is no way that they avoid that. The quasi-anonymous nature of Twitter was a major asset imo and that is lost when the can pivot to insta and see the latest vacation. Going to be boring.

Yeah it's basically full-time "for you" on Twitter, which sucks. Hopefully they'll fix it.

To be fair, as of late, "for you" has been more relevant to me than the "following" tab mostly because it's incredibly annoying to be unable to filter out retweets entirely if you're using the account only to follow artists etc. for specific content they post.

You can disable individual users' retweets showing on your feed, though.

Personally, my problem is I maybe only see 1/3rd of my own followeds posts unless I go to their profile specifically. Meanwhile, the For You tab just likes to spit the same 4-5 posts at me per refresh with maybe 3 fresh ones. Hit or miss if I'd give a damn. Elon censoring leftists does seem to be in full swing, though, as I maybe get one for every 10 rightoids.

Apparently if you link it to your existing IG it uses the same username without an option to change that’s readily apparent? I haven’t dived in myself but seeing that as a complaint.
