Twitter/X now no longer shows the headline when an article is shared. It’s just a link. Elon says it’s because it’s more aesthetically pleasing. The real reason of course is to get people to click on the article to drive ad revenue.

I mean, Elon can say he's voting for whoever the fuck he wants. Whether he actually does is another story. Frankly comes off more as, "See, guys, I don't actually hate the left even though I continue to endorse right-wing crazy through signal boosting or inaction in site policy!" because the ad money needs to come back.

That's not really the point. It was meant to be an example to show how not showing the headline can make it very easy to make a fake, misleading headline that has nothing to do with the linked article.
